Initial Process required for a Licentiate Minister to Participate on the Phoenix Bridge Program
Licentiate Ministers request admittance on the Phoenix Bridge Program by contacting the Licensing and Credentialing Dept at the home office of the Centers for Spiritual Living. If a phone call, email or other communication comes to a Phoenix Bridge Co-Chairperson or Committee member, the Licentiate Minister will be referred to the L&C Dept of CSL, who will clear them and then refer them to a Phoenix Bridge Committee Co-Chairperson for follow-up.
2. A Phoenix Bridge Co-Chairperson will conduct an Intake Interview with the Licentiate Minister, where the following criteria for acceptance is explained:
a. The Licentiate Minister verifies that his/her Ministerial Annual Report is current and if necessary, brings reporting up to date during interview
b. The Licentiate Minister verifies that they have a Sponsor or that L&C is in the process of assigning one.
c.The Licentiate Minister verifies that they have a Mentor or that one is in the process of being selected by them.
d. The Licentiate Minister verifies through documentation that their Ministerial Professional Fee to CSL is current
e. That the allotted time on the bridge will not exceed the remainder of the Licentiate Minister’s licensing period (3-5 years)
f. That any variance to this Policy is determined by the PB Committee and must receive
sanction by the Director of Licensing and Credentialing before the Licentiate Minister is permitted to go forward with being supported on the PB Program
3. As a Phoenix Bridge participant, the Licentiate Minister receives:
a. Ongoing support regularly by a member of the Phoenix Bridge
b. CSL Ordination Path Criteria Policy
c. Phoenix Bridge Brochure or other PB information available
d. Additional support and resources as determined/required
4. Confidentiality: The Phoenix Bridge Co-Chair assures the Licentiate Minister that any written documents will be seen only by:
a. Phoenix Bridge Co-Chair
b. The Director of Licensing and Credentialing
c. Any member of the Spiritual Psychology Team if they are assisting or have been referred to the Licentiate Minister for support.
d. This includes the Exit interviews and all notes or any correspondence written during the time that the Licentiate Minister was being supported by a member of the Phoenix Bridge
